TOP Former Bigbang Failed to Fly Across the Moon After the dearMoon Project Was Canceled

Reported by AP on Monday (3/6/2024), the announcement of this cancellation was made by the initiator of the dearMoon mission, billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, in a statement last Saturday. The reason for the cancellation is because the space shuttle from SpaceX, which is targeted to carry passengers, is not yet clear when it will be ready.

“With no certainty of a clear schedule in the near future, it is with a heavy heart that Maezawa has taken the inevitable decision to cancel the project,” read a statement on the Yusaku Maezawa website.

Maezawa explained that in this uncertain situation, it was difficult for him to make plans for his future.

“I also felt bad about making the crew members wait longer, therefore (I made) the difficult decision to cancel at this time. “I apologize to those who are excited about the realization of this project,” he said.

TOP also revealed the cancellation of the dearMoon project in his upload on Instagram.

“As you may have heard, the 'dearMoon' project has unfortunately been cancelled. However, I am very grateful to Mr. Yusaku Maezawa who has conceived the concept of the 'dearMoon' project,” he said.
