Turkish League Volleyball Star Found Dead in Apartment

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Pilar Marie Victoria Lopez, a Puerto Rican volleyball player who played for the Nilufer Belediyespor club in the Turkish volleyball league was found dead in her apartment in Turkey on Thursday (29/8/2024).

Reported from The NewspaperFriday (8/30/2024), the 29-year-old athlete was absent from the training session before finally being found dead in his apartment. The exact cause of Lopez’s death will only be known after the autopsy results are out.

Pilar Marie Victoria was born in Puerto Rico on October 11, 1995. With a height of 182 centimeters and a weight of 53 kilograms, Marier plays in the position outside hitter.

Before playing for Nilufer Belediyespor in the world’s biggest volleyball league, Marie played for Beziers in France last season. Lopez is also a member of the Puerto Rico National Team.

Pilar Marie Victoria Lopez’s last Instagram post came less than 24 hours before her death. In the post, Lopez captioned a photo with her teammate, Ege Melisa Bükmen, with the caption “Meli and Volleyball“.
