UFC Fight Night will be held in Indonesia in 2025

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night competition will be held in Indonesia in 2025. The Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) conveys this good news for lovers of mixed martial arts or mixed martial arts (MMA).

The certainty that UFC Fight Night will be held in Indonesia has been confirmed through a technical meeting which took place in Macau last weekend.

During the meeting, the Indonesian delegation led by the Special Staff of the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports Alvin Suryohadiprojo, met with UFC representatives to discuss concrete steps in bringing this prestigious competition to Indonesia.

In this meeting, Alvin Suryohadiprojo expressed his optimism regarding Indonesia’s chances of becoming the host.

“This meeting opens up a wider path to present UFC Fight Night in Indonesia next year,” said Alvin to the media crew, Tuesday (26/11/2024).

According to him, preparations will continue with a number of further technical meetings to ensure all aspects run perfectly. The Indonesian delegation received a lot of valuable input from the UFC regarding technical needs, logistics and marketing aspects that need to be met so that this event can be held successfully.

The meeting in Macau was an important moment because it was also attended by a number of key figures from both parties. The Indonesian delegation included the Director of the Sports Fund and Business Management Institute (LPDUK)-Inaspro Ferry Kono who was present to ensure technical and strategic readiness for organizing the event.

The UFC team is represented by several strategic leaders, including Lawrence Epstein (Chief Operating Officer), Dave Shaw (Vice President-International Operations & Content), Kevin Chang (Vice President & Head of Asia), and Leanne Chu (Vice President – Business Operations).
