Veddriq and Rizki Get 2024 Olympics Bonus of IDR 6 Billion, Gregoria IDR 1.65 Billion

Before returning to Indonesia, Rizki and Veddriq represented Indonesia at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Monday (12/8/2024) early morning WIB.

Rizki Juniansyah, as the second gold medalist and the first Indonesian weightlifter to climb to the highest podium at the Olympics, was appointed as the flag bearer in the opening ceremony parade.

Veddriq joined the Red and White group consisting of 15 people, including the CdM representative duo Arkan Lukman and Zaenal Asikin, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (PB FPTI) Yenny Wahid, rock climbing coach Triyanto Budi Santosa, weightlifting coach Triyatno, and fellow athletes Nurul Akmal, Rahmad Adi Mulyono, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi and Rajiah Sallsabillah.

“This closing ceremony is very impressive because first, the athletes who won gold medals participated in one parade. This is something special for them to be able to appear in the parade with the gold medals they won at the 2024 Paris Olympics,” said Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Team Anindya Bakrie.

In line with Anindya Bakrie’s statement, Rizki Juniansyah and Veddriq Leonardo themselves seemed to have felt the special atmosphere that enveloped the Indonesian Team’s parade during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics.

The two Indonesian athletes who won gold medals looked cheerful when they appeared wearing predominantly white costumes, with red stripes on the arms and legs, complete with black hats on their heads.

Rizki, who was tasked with carrying the Red and White flag during the procession, also wore neon glasses. Meanwhile, Veddriq appeared no less happy when he joined the group accompanied by FPTI Ketum Yenny Wahid while carrying a small flag in his hand.

Meanwhile, after the closing of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the two gold medal-winning athletes will immediately return to Indonesia with their fellow athletes on Tuesday (13/8/2024). The weightlifting team is scheduled to land at Soekarno Hatta Airport at 22.10 WIB, while the rock climbing team will land shortly after, at 22.15 WIB.
