Vinicius Junior wants to spend his career in Madrid

Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior wants to spend the rest of his career at the Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in July 2018. Until now Vinicius has defended Los Blancos 222 times, scored 59 goals and recorded 64 assists.

Vinicius was outstanding for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the 2022-23 season scoring 23 goals and registering 21 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions.

Vinicius’ current contract at Real Madrid expires in June 2024, despite claims he has agreed a new contract until the summer of 2027, with an announcement likely to be made this summer.

Several Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring the situation, but Frederico Pena, his agent, says his client could spend his entire career at the Bernabeu.

“Vini is very close to Real Madrid and he is very happy there. He is very comfortable, he loves this club. He has been there for so long, he has become a man there,” Pena told The Telegraph.

“But will he one day leave Real Madrid or will he be a one-club player? I will tell you now that there is a big chance that he is the type of player to stay at one club and make history there and stayed there for 15 more years,” he said.

Pena doesn’t see any desire from Vinicius to play in the Premier League. However, according to Pena, anything can actually happen in football.
