Waiting for the Bonus Amount of the 2024 Paris Olympics Medal Winning Athletes: How Much Will Veddriq, Rizki, and Gregoria Get?

On a separate occasion, the Expert Staff for Youth and Sports Innovation at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yohan, revealed that the government has prepared a bonus for Indonesian athletes who win gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics of around IDR 6 billion as a form of appreciation.

“The range for 1 gold medal is maybe IDR 5 billion, IDR 6 billion now, maybe it can be increased,” he said as reported by Antara.

Yohan said the figure was still tentative depending on the direction of President Joko Widodo. It is even possible that the bonuses received by athletes will increase from the initial plan.

“Later it will depend on the President’s policy, of course, usually the President will provide it,” he said.

Yohan said the Government appreciates all athletes who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, both those who won medals and those who were not lucky. He believes all athletes have given their best to make Indonesia proud.
