Jokowi also said that this victory over Saudi Arabia was also history for the Indonesian national team. This is because the Red and White team is the ASEAN representative with the most points in the third round of World Cup qualifying in the Asian zone.

The Indonesian national team is now the Southeast Asian team that was able to get the best points, namely six points in the third round of World Cup qualifying in the Asian zone.

Previously, there was the Vietnam National Team which previously collected four points in the third round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. Meanwhile, Thailand only won two points in the third round of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.

Meanwhile, after the match Jokowi stated that the Indonesian National Team made all the people of the country proud with their victory against Saudi Arabia. “I think all the people are proud, happy, and the goals were also built from the ground up. Both goals were very good,” he said.

Due to this result, the Indonesian National Team managed to collect six points and occupy third place in Group C in the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the Asian zone.
