West Java vs East Java, Aulia Challenges Megawati in the XXI PON Volleyball Final

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The women’s volleyball final of PON XXI will bring together West Java (Jabar) vs East Java (Jatim) at the Sumut Sport Center Indoor Volleyball GOR, Deli Serdang, Thursday (19/9/2024), at 18.30 WIB. In this final, Aulia Suci who defends West Java will challenge Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who carries the East Java flag.

Both players performed brilliantly in the semifinals on Wednesday (18/9/2024). Aulia when meeting Central Java scored 18 points, while Megawati who had just arrived from Korea scored 19 points when playing against DKI Jakarta.

The West Java volleyball team will try hard to maintain its dominance in PON. West Java is the gold medal winner at the 2021 PON XX Papua.

The West Java women’s team successfully advanced to the XXI PON volleyball final after defeating Central Java in the semifinals with a score of 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, and 25-22).

The West Java women’s volleyball team has yet to taste defeat at PON XXI. They won six times in a row from the preliminary round to the semifinals.

Jabar has lost once. They were defeated by Jatim in the preliminary round. However, of course the situation will be different. Because, Jatim will be strengthened by the best player in Indonesia at the moment, Megawati Hangestri. Megawati, who is preparing herself with her club, Red Sparks, in the Korean Volleyball League, can only join the Jatim team in the semifinals.
