Will Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 Use the Old Camera Sensor of Galaxy S22?

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – Samsung reportedly won’t be making any major changes to the camera department for the upcoming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 series.

According to the latest information from prominent leaker Ice Universe, the Korean tech giant will likely stick with the same camera sensor as the one used on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus.

This news was revealed through a post on social media X (formerly Twitter), where Ice Universe re-uploaded a tweet comparing the photo results between the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S24.

“Unfortunately, Samsung decided to use a similar sensor on the S25 and S26. Desperate,” as quoted from Ice Universe’s tweet on X, Tuesday (24/9/2024).

The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus themselves use a 1/1.56-inch main camera sensor with a one-micron pixel size, like the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus released in 2022.

Thus, a big question arises among Samsung fans, why the company has not made any significant improvements to their phone cameras.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s competitors like OnePlus, Google, and Xiaomi have all moved to larger camera sensors, allowing their devices to produce brighter and more detailed photos, especially in low-light conditions.

Although the camera sensor is not the only determining factor in photo quality, many expect Samsung to follow the trend of improving camera sensors.
