In the semifinals, Veddriq performed brilliantly by defeating Reza Alipour Shenazandifard from Iran, recording a time of 4.78 seconds, while his opponent recorded a time of 4.84 seconds.

This win advanced Veddriq to the final against Wu Peng of China, whom he eventually defeated.
