Winning, Chinthe Equals Indonesian Points

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The hosts achieved a narrow 3-2 victory in the Myanmar vs Laos match in the 2024 AFF Cup group B at Thuwunna Stadium, Yangon, Wednesday (18/12/2024).

The first victory of the team nicknamed Chinthe brought Myanmar equal to the points that Indonesia had obtained, namely four. Myanmar has now moved up to third place in Group B standings. Meanwhile, Laos are certain to be eliminated after suffering their second defeat in four matches. They have never won and have drawn two draws in other matches.

The hosts took the lead when the match entered the 32nd minute, thanks to the action of Lwan Moe Aung. The score 1-0 for the hosts lasted until the first half ended.

Laos managed to equalize in the 77th minute thanks to Kydavone Souvanny’s action. Laos even took the lead to 2-1 thanks to Cvony Waenpaseuth’s goal.

However, the hosts then recovered and scored two goals which brought them victory. Win Naing Tun scored Myanmar’s goal in the 83rd minute and 90+3. The team coached by coach Myo Hlaing Win also won 3-2 in the Myanmar vs Laos match.

Apart from the Myanmar vs Laos match, the group B qualifier on Wednesday (18/12/2024) also held the Philippines vs Vietnam match which is still ongoing.
