Winning Gold, Agni Wins at the 2024 Junior Wushu World Championship

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Indonesian wushu athlete Agni Agustine Dimonim has scored another achievement for Merah Putih. He made a surprise by winning a gold medal at the XXI/2024 Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) and was again a star at the 2024 Junior Wushu World Championship which took place in Brunei Darussalam, Friday (27/9/2024).

“I definitely felt very happy and didn’t expect the results, because the training period was very short,” said Agni when contacted by media crew.

The Manager of the Indonesian Wushu Team, Herman Wijaya, said that the Indonesian Wushu Team had pocketed four gold, six silver and five bronze. The opportunity to increase the number of gold medals is still open with the appearance of four Indonesian sanda athletes in the semifinals. They are, Bagus Pratama Surato (48 kg, pre-junior men), Kiemas Sakti Negara (52 kg pre-junior men), Genea Elyos Silaban (52 kg junior men), and Adriana Rosa Aurela Putri (48 kg junior women).
