Yoo Ah In Cleared of Sexual Assault Case, Police Feel Insufficient Evidence

Todaysgist.com, Seoul – Yoo Ah In is confirmed to be free from the clutches of the sexual violence case that had previously entangled him. Reported from Soompi, On Thursday (19/9/2024), on September 11, the police decided not to forward this case to the prosecutor’s office because the evidence was deemed insufficient.

Police also said they had no plans to re-investigate.

This case was first revealed at the end of July, starting from a report from a man referred to as A. The Seoul Yongsan Police confirmed that there was a complaint from A, who is a man in his 30s.

Yonhap News reported that Yoo Ah In was being investigated for “imitation rape.” This type of accusation is applied to cases of same-sex rape.

A claims that Yoo Ah In sexually assaulted her on July 14 while she was sleeping in an apartment in Yongsan, Seoul. The crime scene was not Yoo Ah In’s residence, nor A’s.

In addition, it was mentioned that there was another man present at the scene at the time of the incident. A has testified about the incident on July 25, and he tested negative in a drug test.
