Young Bharata Wins First Match of U-19 Volleyball National Championship

Bandar Lampung, Beritasatu.com – Two men’s teams from Bharata Muda Jakarta and Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim achieved their first victory on the first day of the U-19 National Volleyball Championship which took place at GOR Siger Bandar Lampung, Sunday (8/12/2024).

Bharata Muda won over Vini Vidi Vici Kaltim with a score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-20 and 25-18). In another match, Bukit Asam had to fight closely against Ganevo SC Yogyakarta. Bukit Asama won 3-2 (25-15, 25-27, 16-25, 26-24, and 15-12).

Bharata Muda coach Teguh Atmaji said that his team still had many shortcomings even though they won the U-19 National Volleyball Championship match easily.

“Our team still has many shortcomings. Especially in serving and receiving,” said Teguh.

Meanwhile, Bukit Asam coach, Memed Tarmedi, commenting on his team’s results, said it was natural to have to play five sets. “We were hampered by school children’s exams. We practiced for a month, but stopped because the children had school exams before going to Lampung,” said Memed.

The U-19 Volleyball National Championship will take place from Sunday (8/12/2024) to Sunday (15/12/2024). This annual championship was attended by 32 men’s and 23 women’s clubs in various regions in Indonesia.

Apart from taking place at the Siger Sports Hall in Bandar Lampung, the U-19 Volleyball National Championship which was opened by the Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, was also held at the Bandar Lampung Youth Pledge Sports Hall with two fields.
