Defeating Bahrain, Indonesian National Volleyball Team Wins Pul F AVC Challenge Cup

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team Indonesia won the 2023 Pul F AVC Challenge Cup after defeating Bahrain.

In the final match of the Pul F AVC Challenge Cup 2023 in Taiwan, Monday (10/7/2023), Indonesia won in a very tight battle, 3-2 (33-31, 25-27, 21-25, 25-23, 15 -11).

Against Bahrain, Indonesia fielded its best players, namely Rivan Nurmulki, Dio Zulfikri, Farhan Halim, Hendra Kurniawan, and Hernanda Zulfi, and Fahri Septian Putratama.

The victory was the first of four matches in various competitions.

Previously, Indonesia won its first victory by defeating Sri Lanka 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 25-17).

With these two wins, Indonesia won the Pul F. Indonesia also stepped into the second round perfectly.

The national team, which is also being prepared to face the XIX/2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, next September will next meet Kazakhstan.

The AVC Challenge Cup which will be participated by 15 countries will look for a champion who will later take part in the FIVB Challenge Cup for Men in Qatar, at the end of July.

The FIVB Challenge Cup will be held in Qatar, followed by champions from the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, teams relegated from the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

The winner of the FIVB Challenge will later take part in VNL next year replacing the lowest VNL team.
