Fainting while appearing against Udinese, Roma defender Ndicka has regained consciousness

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Italian club AS Roma has confirmed that defender Evan Ndicka is conscious and he has been taken to hospital after collapsing on the pitch against Udinese on Monday (15/4/2024) early morning WIB

As a result of this incident, the match at the Friuli Stadium was officially suspended.

“Following a medical emergency on the pitch involving Evan Ndicka, the match between Udinese and Roma has been suspended. “The player is conscious and has been taken to hospital for further examination,” said Roma in a statement, Monday (15/4/2024).

“Forza Evan, we are all with you,” the club nicknamed the Rossoneri added.

Ndicka fell to the pitch shortly after the 70th minute, and clutched his chest moments before the referee's intervention.

He was immediately examined by medical staff on the ground, and then rushed off on a stretcher. He was able to give a thumbs up to the audience in the stadium.

Referee Luca Pairetto has made it clear that he will respect the wishes of the players and coaching staff regarding the continuation of the game. Coach Daniele De Rossi of Roma was seen discussing with his players and staff before the match was officially stopped.

His Roma teammates visited Ndicka in hospital after this match. Ndicka received a police escort to ensure she arrived at the facility as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Sky Sport Italia then reported that Ndicka had been visited and spoken to by CEO Lina Soulokou, coach Daniele De Rossi and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Pellegrini then informed everyone about Ndicka's condition squad.
Updates Roma recently confirmed that Ndicka had been visited by his teammates in hospital.

“Evan feels better and in better spirits. “He will remain in hospital for further tests and observation,” read a statement on Monday WIB.
