PSM vs Persib: Juku Spell Beware of Da Silva and Ciro Alves

Makassar, Beritasatu.com – PSM Makassar will not be careless when they host Persib Bandung at the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium, Parepare City, South Sulawesi, in the fourth week of League 1, Saturday (21/7/2023) afternoon.

Even though Persib is no longer handled by Luis Milla, PSM Makassar coach, Bernardo Tavares, believes that his opponent is not to be underestimated.

“After being left by Luis Milla, we don’t know how Persib will play tomorrow. Of course this is an advantage for their opponents but it should be remembered that Persib is strengthened by quality players. Of course they also want to prove that without Milla they can win,” said Tavares in a press conference ahead of the match, Friday (21/7/2023).

According to Tavares, there are two Persib players that his team should watch out for, namely striker duo Ciro Alves and David Da Silva.

“Ciro and Da Silva are a combination that troubles their opponents. Last season they also gave Persib a lot of goals, but we don’t focus on those two players but all of their players,” he added.

In the standings, PSM is currently in 13th place with four points, while Persib is in 14th place with three points.

PSM has scored three goals and conceded three times in the first three matches of League 1 of the 2023/2024 season.

Meanwhile, Persib will be handled by interim coach, Yaya Sunarya, as a replacement for Luis Milla, who resigned.
