Viral on TikTok, SUPERKIND K-Pop Group Combines Real and Virtual AI-Based Members

 Jakarta – In recent years, the development of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology has continued to penetrate the world of music, especially K-Pop. This is marked by the many new idol groups that adopt AI in their concept.

One group that uses AI is SUPERKIND. Boy groups under the auspices of the agency Deep Studio Entertainment combines members real humans with virtual members created by AI.

The group which debuted on June 20, 2022 with single “Watch Out” has 7 members, namely Daemon, Eugene, Geon, Sio, JDV, Saejin and Seung.

Saejin and Seung as virtual members are described as very active in sharing their daily lives and following the latest TikTok trends, just like humans. In fact, video content containing these two virtual members is always viral.

Based on monitoring Tekno Friday (19/5/2023), currently the SUPERKIND TikTok account has more than 764 thousand followers with a total of likes reached 21 million for all video content.

Not only that, the seven SUPERKIND members also often join in creating video content and interact with each other, as if they live in the same world. Some of their TikTok videos on the @playsuperkind account have also been watched more than 10 million times and liked by 1.9 million users.

It is undeniable that the KPOP phenomenon has hit the world music industry. This is evident from the data for global music listeners from the International Federation of The Phonographic in 2019. Kpop occupies the 7th position in world music.
