Erik Ten Hag Leaks Mason Greenwood’s Future at Manchester United

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Mason Greenwood has not featured for Manchester United since January 2022. This is because the 21-year-old forward is facing serious criminal charges following accusations from a woman.

Mason Greenwood was initially arrested on suspicion of rape and assault. He was later also suspected of sexual harassment and threats to kill.

The England international also faces charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behavior and assault causing bodily harm. However, all those charges have now been dropped, meaning he is free to continue his football career for 2023/2024.

The 20-time Premier League champions are believed to be close to completing an internal investigation into the events that led to Greenwood’s arrest. A decision will be made before the start of the new season.

It is estimated that it is impossible for Greenwood to be sold, but loaned to another club. United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed he has shared his thoughts on the best course of action for the young star.

However, the Dutch tactician said that in the end it all depended on MU. “This is a club decision and of course, I share my opinion but it is a club decision and we all have to accept it,” Ten Hag was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.

When asked if he wanted to keep Greenwood at United, Ten Hag added: “I can’t say much about it, but I share my opinion on it, so let’s see what happens.”

Mason Greenwood has been acquitted of the attempted rape charges against him in 2022. However, his fate at Manchester United (MU) is still a mystery.
