Surprise, Manchester United Chase Promotion Team Coach to Replace Erik ten Hag

However, Manchester United must be ready to face competition to actually recruit a sensational young coach to Old Trafford next season. Two rivals in the Premier League, namely Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, are also claimed to be interested in Kieran McKenna.

Not to mention, Ipswich Town will probably try their best to prevent their coach from leaving. McKenna is under contract until 2027 at Portman Road, with his signing would force interested clubs to pay huge compensation.

“Contact between Manchester United representatives and McKenna is believed to have been made, but sources insist it is still at an early stage,” it wrote The Guardian in his report quoted from Football Transfers.

“Ipswich are understood to be determined to keep hold of McKenna, who only signed a new contract at the end of the season and is under contract until 2027.

“Any move would likely involve a large compensation payment, although the Ipswich owners plan to hold talks with the Northern Irishman in the next few weeks and are optimistic they will be able to convince him to remain at the helm of their squad in the Premier League,” added the same report.
