Indonesian Badminton Players Face Fierce Competition at the Junior International Grand Prix

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The participation of players from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan has added to the fierce competition for Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix 2023.

PB Jaya Raya Daily Chairperson Imelda Wigoeno hopes that from this tournament there will be emerging Indonesian junior players who are able to compete with foreign players. In addition, this activity provides inspiration for other junior players to perform optimally to win championships.

“It is hoped that young Indonesian players can provide the best resistance against foreign players and can be the best in this tournament,” Imelda said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (19/7/2023).

Imelda hopes that the Indonesian players can perform optimally in this tournament, especially for her children to excel in becoming champions. “This is an opportunity for Indonesian players, especially Jaya Raya athletes, to perform optimally and give their best achievements as champions,” he added.

From the mixed doubles number PB Jaya Raya, seeded 11, Jonathan Farrell Gosal/Nabila Cahya Permata Ayu entered the second round after stopping Tankhun Setthapraset/Pitchanarad/Chaiwanna’s resistance 21-18, 21-14. Zidane Effendi/Chelsea Sensa beat the doubles of John Gam/Krissa De Leon from the Philippines 21-11, 21-17 and Andi Marwan/Ratna Zahira easily won over the Indonesian pair, Ali Rayhan/Reva Damayani 21-19, 21-15.
