Caldeirão Grande do Piauí celebrates Mother's Day with tributes and parties; 'We feel honored, says mother – Cidades na Net

On the night of this Friday, June 7th, the City Hall of Caldeirão Grande do Piauí held a large event to celebrate Mother's Day.

The objective was to pay tribute and recognize the fundamental role of mothers in the family and society, celebrating the spirit of motherhood, which involves care, sacrifice, dedication and unconditional love. Furthermore, the event was also a moment to strengthen ties between public authorities and mothers, partners in building an increasingly better society.

Upon arrival at the multi-sports gym, the venue for the event, the mothers were warmly welcomed, greeted with flowers, smiles, words of welcome and instrumental music.

At the opening, Father Fernando Amando gave a brief biblical reflection, highlighting the names of several mothers such as Eve, the first mother, and Mary, the mother of Jesus.

The priest left a message of encouragement and strengthening of faith. “May you, following the example of Mary, be mothers who are fully confident in God, fearing God, who in the most difficult moments you go through in your life as mothers, never give up, know, you are chosen by God, because He knows the heart and the dedication of each one of you. Live faithfully what God has planted in your heart, which is being a mother,” said the priest.

Authorities such as mayor Filipe Gonçalves, vice-mayor Zulene Oliveira, pastor Eduardo Almeida, from the Assembly of God Church, councilor Francisca Dalva and the Secretary of Education, Damiana Irene, also paid tribute and highlighted the importance of the role of mothers in building a more united and welcoming community.

“I want to congratulate all the mothers in our municipality on this special moment. We dedicate ourselves tirelessly to raising and training our children, and also to strengthening our family. Strong women, warriors, fighters, may we always continue to be this example of love, dedication and courage for our children. May God bless and protect each one of us, mothers, and multiply in us this true love, which is a mother's love.”, said vice-mayor Zulene Oliveira.

“Very happy to hold this commemorative moment, so special and important in our lives and in your lives, and to be able to count on the presence of so many mothers from the city and rural areas of our municipality. I would like to congratulate each one of you who, with tireless dedication and unconditional love, have been committed to raising and training your children. You are the solid foundation that strengthens families and, consequently, our community. I am sure that you, like my mother, Raimunda Ribeiro, are the best mothers for your children. Therefore, everyone feel hugged and enjoy this moment that was prepared for you with lots of love and affection.”, said Mayor Filipe Gonçalves.

Then, there were draws for dozens of gifts for the mothers. They all also received personalized gifts.

The words, the affectionate gestures and the tributes touched the mothers. Mrs. Antônia Ana Felipe lives in the city and participates in the commemorative event every year.

“This party brings joy to mothers. Celebrating Mother's Day is a source of great joy for us. Every year we have this party, the mayor gives us this honor, and this year was even better for me, because in addition to the honor, I was also given a gift,” he said. The housewife was drawn and won a speaker.

The commemorative event, in addition to reinforcing the importance of the role of mothers, also provides an environment of interaction, fraternization and joy, leaving a lasting memory for everyone who participated.

At the end, everyone present came together to sing congratulations to all the mothers in reference to Mother's Day, a simple yet significant gesture that filled the environment with love and joy, further reinforcing the recognition and gratitude to all mothers.

The celebration ended with the distribution of cake, snacks and a musical show with singer Wailson Federal.
