Elon Musk Says AI Will Replace Human Jobs

This time, the man who just inaugurated Starlink in Bali revealed that artificial intelligence, aka AI, can take over all types of work.

“Maybe none of us will have a job,” said Elon Musk, during a technology conference on AI, as quoted from CNN.

However, according to him, this does not always have a negative impact. The reason is, Elon Musk said, in the future work will be a choice. That way, someone can do work that is in line with their interests and hobbies.

Elon Musk also said that AI and robots will provide various goods and services that humans want. To realize this scenario, he mentioned the need for universally high incomes. Unfortunately, Elon Musk did not say how this scenario would be realized.

However, Musk assured that there would be no shortage of goods and services. The reason is, AI capabilities have increased rapidly in recent years.

Therefore, regulators, companies and consumers are still considering how to use this technology responsibly.

Concerns also continue to rise regarding how various industries and jobs will change as AI advances in the marketplace.

A report from MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory found that adoption of AI in the workplace is much, much slower than some expected and feared.

The report also states that most jobs vulnerable to AI at the time would not be economically profitable for companies implementing automation.

According to experts, many jobs that require a high level of emotional intelligence and human interaction will not be replaced by AI. Examples are workers in the mental health sector, creative workers, and teachers.
