June, in Massapê do Piauí, is considered one of the best times of the year. It is the month in which the community celebrates the celebration of the patron saint São João Batista, and the month of the traditional June festivals, one of the biggest and liveliest in the municipality.

This year, in the 26th edition, the festivities will take place on the 16th and 17th of June, in a new location, on Avenida Pedro Martins. The program includes cultural presentations, square dancing competitions and artistic shows.

This Monday (3), Mayor Rivaldo Carvalho announced the artistic schedule of the XXVI São João de Massapê do Piauí. On Sunday, the 16th, cultural and June square dance performances will take place, as well as a show with Marcelo Batista. On Monday, the 17th, there will be shows with Márcio Balla, Carlinhos Bala, Thiago Freitas, Rey Vaqueiro and singer Lamarck Macedo.

São João is promoted by the City Hall of Massapê do Piauí, through the Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism, with the support of state deputy Georgiano Neto.
