Will Kamala Harris Be Hostile to the Crypto Industry if She Doesn’t Attend the 2024 Bitcoin Conference?

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss reacts to news of Kamala Harris’ decision not to participate in the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville.

Bitcoin Magazine CEO and event organizer David Bailey, revealed that Democrats told him that Kamala Harris privately said Bitcoin is money for criminals.

“The Biden-Harris administration has been waging an all-out war on the crypto industry for 4 years. Despite all of this, Kamala was still invited to (the Bitcoin 2024 conference) in Nashville and given the opportunity to speak to our industry and reset the relationship. What did she do? She refused,” Winklevoss wrote, as quoted by Bitcoin.com, Saturday (7/27/2024).

The Gemini founder added that Kamala Harris couldn’t even take the first step and show up to start repairing the relationship. Our industry will not forget this. We will show no mercy in November.

Winklevoss’s statement follows his and his brother Cameron’s donation of $1 million each in bitcoin (BTC) to former President Donald Trump.

At the time, Winklevoss said the Biden administration was “weaponizing multiple government agencies to bully, harass and sue good actors in our industry in an effort to destroy it.”

Since Trump adopted a pro-crypto stance, many crypto enthusiasts have supported his campaign. Kraken founder Jesse Powell also donated $1 million to Trump.

After his large campaign donation, the Winklevosses insisted at the time that Trump was the pro-Bitcoin, pro-crypto, pro-business choice. That’s not open to debate.

“Anyone who tells you otherwise is either severely uninformed, delusional, or simply not telling the truth. It’s time to take our country back,” Winklevoss concluded.
