Como Reportedly Set to Recruit Emil Audero

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Serie A promotion club Como 1907 is reportedly set to recruit goalkeeper of Indonesian descent, Emil Audero, after failing to reach an agreement with Olympique Marseille (OM) for the transfer of Spanish goalkeeper, Pau Lopez.

“Como and OM failed to reach an agreement for Pau Lopez due to a change in requirements when preparing the documents,” said European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X account on Thursday (25/7/2024).

Romano also reported that Emil Audero will officially join as the new goalkeeper for the club owned by Indonesian businessmen, the Hartono Brothers, on Friday (26/7/2024) local time.

Emil Audero spent the 2023/24 season with Inter Milan on loan from Serie B club Sampdoria.

However, the goalkeeper born in Mataram rarely gets the chance to play with the Nerazzurri because he lost out to Yann Sommer.

Last season, Audero was recorded as only playing 6 matches with Simone Inzaghi’s team in all competitions.

He was only given the opportunity to play for 338 minutes in Serie A. Even so, Emil Audero was part of the Inter squad that won the 2023/2024 Serie A scudetto title.

In this summer’s transfer window, Como have brought in a number of high-profile players such as talented Iraqi striker Ali Jassim, former Italy striker Andrea Belotti, former Villarreal defender Alberto Moreno and veteran Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Como are even one step closer to bringing in former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
