On the other hand, rumors about the Galaxy S25 Ultra are increasingly circulating. After previously there were rumors that the cellphone would use AI technology to provide longer battery life, now news has emerged that the Samsung cellphone will only come with three cameras.

Samsung is reportedly currently testing an early prototype of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Quoted from Gizmochina, Wednesday (15/4/2024), the latest rumor from tipster @ISAQUES81 shares three new aspects of the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera system.

According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype only has three cameras, instead of using four cameras like the previous Ultra series. Samsung has reportedly ditched the 3x telephoto lens module which was deemed not very useful, and replaced it with a digital zoom.

The three cameras will consist of a main lens, an ultra-wide lens and a periscope lens for telephoto.

Samsung is also reported to have experimented with the cellphone's zoom camera. So, they replaced the 10MP 10x telephoto camera with a 50MP camera with 5x zoom capability.

Apart from that, the main camera of the S25 Ultra still maintains the same size and sensor as the previous series. But this time, the sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be able to capture more light, with a larger aperture.

A larger aperture is said to help the sensor capture more light, resulting in better photo quality than before.

For the periscope camera, this Samsung cellphone has a larger sensor than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This sensor provides sharper details even in photos that have been zoomed in.

The biggest change in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra periscope camera is the addition of variable zoom which significantly affects the image quality in zoomed shots.
