Quoting the report Android AuthorityThursday (20/6/2024), new code has been discovered in the OS framework which shows that Android will automatically detect when the user's face model or fingerprint is not working properly.

When the system detects a mismatch in biometric input, the system will delete the stored biometric data and ask the user to register it again.

Android 15 will also display a notification saying that the face or fingerprint model is not working properly and has been removed by the system.

For your information, the Android system only allows users to register one face, the notification displayed to re-register a face will be slightly different from the notification displayed to re-register a fingerprint, however there is no functional difference.
