Minister of Youth and Sports Striving for GBK to be Ready when the Indonesian National Team Plays against Iraq and the Philippines in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

In line with this statement, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi claimed that his party and the Ministry of Youth and Sports also always hope for and strive for the best infrastructure for the Garuda squad when playing international home matches.

According to him, this is an important aspect because the Indonesian National Team always gets the best infrastructure when visiting other countries.

“PSSI always hopes that there will be adequate infrastructure available (when the Indonesian National Team plays at home). The Ministry of Youth and Sports has prepared and hopes that too,” said Yunus Nusi on the same occasion.

“However, there are several obstacles that we face, and this is not very good, especially for us, Indonesia or the federation, because when we played in Iraq the pitch was good. When we also play in other countries, we have good grass pitches.”

“In the future, the Minister has committed to us to always provide and prepare infrastructure. And based on the recommendation of the Minister of Youth and Sports, we are currently revitalizing 22 stadiums and hopefully they will be able to be used by our national team (in the future),” he concluded.
