Samsung Confirms Galaxy AI Will Be Free Until 2025, Ready to Introduce Subscription Format?

Samsung's upcoming foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, are confirmed to have the Galaxy AI artificial intelligence feature.

The news was confirmed directly by EVP and Head of Mobile R&D Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung, Won-Joon Choi.

Quoting Android Authority, Sunday (9/6/2024), he said that Galaxy AI capabilities will be enjoyed by users of Samsung's upcoming foldable screen cellphones.

“We will further optimize the Galaxy AI experience for upcoming foldable devices,” said Won-Joon Choi.

Although not mentioned in the statement, the foldable screen devices in question refer to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

The successor to Samsung's foldable phone is expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024.

This confirmation also matches the alleged Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 images that were leaked recently. In the images, the words “Galaxy AI” appear next to the names and renderings of the two Samsung foldable phones.

Seeing as the company is currently actively showing off the capabilities of Galaxy AI, it would be unnatural if they didn't adopt the feature on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6.
