Starlink Comes to Indonesia: What Price is Elon Musk Offering?

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan welcomed the arrival of SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

Elon Musk came to Bali to attend the 10th World Water Forum. However, not only that, Luhut said, Elon Musk will also attend the launch of Starlink with President Joko Widodo at a health center in Denpasar, Bali.

“I had the opportunity to pick up Elon at the airport this morning, and then discuss some of his agenda while he was here, and of course some important collaborations,” said Coordinating Minister for Marves Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in a press release received, Saturday (19/5/2024).

It was explained further that one of the important collaborations carried out was the inauguration of the Starlink internet service to reach remote areas of Indonesia.

This collaboration is a form of equality across all provinces in Indonesia which will be integrated with health and education services. So, it is hoped that these two services will continue to improve.
