ChatGPT AI Test Expert for Cyber ​​Phishing Crime Detection, Here Are the Results

Some time ago, the potential for abuse of AI ChatGPT tools was known to increase because they are capable of making dangerous malware and undetected by anti-virus.

This was proven by a Forcepoint security researcher, Aaron Mulgrew, by asking the artificial intelligence tool to create a zero day exploit capable of stealing victim data.

Surprisingly, the ChatGPT-made malware was able to evade detection by all antivirus programs in the VirusTotal catalog.

Reported GizchinaSunday (16/4/2023), OpenAI has implemented safeguards to prevent users from requesting ChatGPT to write malicious code.

However, Aaron managed to bypass those protections by having the chatbot generate each line of malicious code and focus on separate functions. After compiling various functions, Aaron attempted data theft execution and was barely detected.

Unlike traditional malware which requires a large team of hackers and resources, Aaron created this malware himself in a few hours and had absolutely no coding experience.

The discovery poses a threat to the misuse of AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, while raising questions about security and ease of exploitation.
