XL Axiata Serves 57.6 Million Customers, Allocates IDR 6.4 Trillion to Build Network

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – XL Axiata announced that their revenue in 2023 will be IDR 8.44 trillion. This income increased 12 percent compared to the same period last year.

XL Axiata President Director & CEO Dian Siswarini said, XL succeeded in achieving positive data revenue compared to the previous quarter, where the contribution of data services to XL Axiata's revenue reached 93 percent.

Talking about data services, data traffic on the XL Axiata network is currently 2,609 Petabytes or an increase of 18.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

Currently XL Axiata serves 57.6 million customers throughout Indonesia. This amount makes XL Axiata traffic increase 3.2 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Of that amount, the average XL Axiata user expenditure (ARPU) is IDR 44 thousand in the first quarter of 2024.

Dian said, instead of choosing to increase the number of customers significantly, XL Axiata chose to maintain the number of quality customers for the company. Dian is not concerned about the behavior of customers who often change SIM cards or change operators.

“Real customers are loyal customers who use XL services well. If you look at the number of customers from year to year, it doesn't increase much, but it also doesn't decrease much. Our focus is on improving services so that customers can be more productive, so that spending per customer increases ARPU ,” he said in a press conference after the XL Axiata AGM in Jakarta, Friday (3/5/2024).
