PSG Will Try to Sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Barcelona will try to sell one or two key assets this summer, among them Frenkie de Jong. This Dutch player is reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

As the player with the highest income, this player who plays as a midfielder is increasingly seen as the main choice to be released by Barcelona whose finances are not currently in good condition.

Of course the money they are looking for is impossible to get from a mediocre club. PSG are probably part of the four to five clubs that would consider signing him.

The Blaugrana reportedly want €100 million (Rp. 1.7 trillion) for de Jong. In normal times that might be a reasonable price. However, amidst the weak economy and the exorbitant salary he currently receives, this puts Barcelona in a bad negotiating position.

Some reports even claimed that retaining de Jong would cost the club €77 million over the remaining two years of his contract.

According to Sport, PSG are looking for a striker this summer, and a midfielder, which could be Frenkie de Jong. They are willing to spend €60 million on the Dutchman, whose value could rise to around €80 million with bonuses and variables.

If Frenkie de Jong leaves, Barca already has a shot at replacing him. He is Girona captain Aleix Garcia for between €14 million and €20 million. Currently, the Spanish player is often linked with Blaugrana.
