Inter vs Atletico Madrid Player Lineup Prediction

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Inter Milan will host Atletico Madrid in legs first round of 16 of the Champions League, Wednesday (21/2/2023) early morning starting at 03.00 WIB.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has certainly prepared the line-up of players he will field against the team which is currently in fourth place in the Spanish League standings.

It is predicted that the host team will use a 3-5-2 formation in this match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inzaghi will play the French-Argentinian duo, Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez in this first meeting.

These two players will be assisted by five players in the midfield consisting of Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Federico Di Marco.

Meanwhile, in the back row, Filippo Inzaghi's younger brother will play Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni. These three defenders will guard Swiss goalkeeper Yan Sommer.

Speaking at a press conference via TMW, Inzaghi first discussed the quality of Diego Simeone and his work at Atletico. “Of course, tomorrow it will be nice to see Diego again as an opponent. “He was a great teammate, we won in Rome at Lazio, then he went to Atletico, but we never forgot each other,” said Inzaghi.

“It's clear he is a great coach, just look at what he did during his 13 years at Atletico Madrid,” said Inzaghi again.
