This was revealed by a well-known Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo. Quoting Kuo's report, Friday (14/6/2024), Apple Intelligence does not support the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus which are equipped with the 4nm A16 AP) application processor.

It is stated that the AI ​​computing power with the M1 chipset can carry out 11 trillion operations per second (TOPS). Meanwhile, the A16 can only compute up to 17 TOPS.

This means the problem is not in chipset. Kuo said DRAM memory is the differentiator. The DRAM of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is only 6GB, lower than the M1 with 8GB DRAM.

More importantly, a number of Apple's new devices currently use 8GB RAM and are also equipped with the A17 Pro chipset – such as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
