Australia vs Jordan Draw 0-0

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The opening match of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup between Australia and Jordan ended in a 0-0 draw at the Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Monday (15/4/2024).

The Australia vs Jordan match was exciting in the first half. Both teams immediately built attacks in order to open up the lead first.

Australia appeared more dominant in the opening match of the U-23 World Cup, but had difficulty breaking through Jordan's goal.
Even though both teams created a number of scoring opportunities, the first half still ended with the score 0-0.

In the second half, Jordan, who appeared braver in pressing, almost scored a goal in the 54th minute. However, Baker Kalbouneh's header against Australia was disallowed because he had already been caught offside.

Jordan had to play with 10 men in the 83rd minute after Danial Afaneh received his second yellow card. Australia failed to take advantage of the superior number of players to score goals. The match ended with a score of 0-0.
