Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Girona rose to second place in the Spanish League standings after beating Las Palmas 2-0 at the Stadio de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Saturday (27/4/2024). Girona shifted Barcelona to third place in the Spanish League standings.
Girona collected 71 points from 33 matches, one point above Barcelona, who have only played 32 matches.
Las Palmas is ranked 13th with 37 points from 33 matches, 12 points away from the relegation zone.
Girona's victory was thanks to goals scored by David Lopez and Artem Dovbyk in both halves.
Despite losing, Las Palmas dominated with 61 percent possession of the ball and fired five shots on target.
Next Saturday, Girona plays a tough match against Barcelona, while Las Palmas visits Real Sociedad on the same day.
Barcelona will host Valencia on Tuesday (30/4/2024) early morning WIB.
