Finally! WhatsApp users will be able to make calls without saving contacts

WhatsApp application on Android phones (Liputan6.com/ Agustin Setyo Wardani)

The WhatsApp application joins the ranks of other applications that can log in without a password. How come? Quoting The Verge, Thursday (25/4/2024), WhatsApp said that now the iOS version of its application supports Passkey.

When this feature is activated, WhatsApp users can use their iPhone's biometrics to log in, either via FaceID or Touch ID, or their phone's passcode.

WhatsApp already supports unlocking its app on iOS with any of these options, but enabling Passkey takes security convenience to the next level.

This passkey support came to the iPhone version of the WhatsApp application several months after Meta rolled out a similar capability to WhatsApp Android last October.
