Since breaking off her partnership with Simone, Simaria Mendes has not yet returned to the stage. After a series of requests for her to resume her career, Coleguinha responded to pressure from the public and that people think she leads the life of a queen.

“I'm a root mother, I wake up and take my children to school, even taking my courses and composing, I come back and pick them up”, she declared. The singer also commented that she does not have an employee for several segments of her life, such as family life and that her focus is taking care of the children. It is worth remembering that Simaria is the mother of Giovanna, 11, and Pavel, 8, from her marriage to Vicente Escrig, her ex-husband.

The singer opened up about the pressure she is under to sing again. “People ask me things that don’t make any sense. I want to make it very clear to you that it’s my life and I’ll come back whenever I want to go back to work,” she said.

The singer also shared the conversation she had with her publicist, in which she says that she prefers to have few, but loyal, fans than many people who are “snooping” into her life. “Until my kids are safe enough for me to leave the house, I'm going to be here by their side, because that's what a real mother does, and I am,” she described.

Last Thursday (14/03), she responded to another follower and said that she is working off-screen. “Have you ever heard a phrase that says 'work in silence'? When we stay quiet and don't tell anyone about our plans, how do things work out in life? So this is what I have to say,” she signed off.
