Indodax Survey: 63% of Citizens Look to Crypto for Investment

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Crypto exchange or crypto exchanger, Indodax recently launched a survey of crypto investors. Data was obtained that 63 percent of crypto enthusiasts chose this asset for investment.

Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan explained that the survey which lasted for 2 weeks involved thousands of respondents with an age range of 17-68 years.

“Based on a survey conducted by Indodax, as many as 63.45 percent of participants admitted that one of the main reasons for entering the world of crypto was to invest long term,” said Oscar in his statement, Friday (23/2/2024).

Meanwhile, 37.76 percent admitted to investing too, but in the short term. Apart from that, 12.2 percent of participants admitted that adding and enriching assets in investing was also the main reason for entering the world of crypto.

“Apart from that, attractive promotions also play a crucial role, with 5.8 percent of participants admitting their involvement in the world of crypto because of attractive promotional offers,” he explained.

Oscar also tried to explore people's preferences in choosing crypto products. The findings show that many people are influenced by information from the social media TikTok.

“As many as 47.6 percent of participants chose TikTok social media as a source of information regarding crypto investment. Meanwhile, 25.2 percent of participants preferred Instagram social media to find information about the crypto industry,” he said.

Apart from Tiktok and Instagram, Indodax found that 12.7 percent of respondents chose the social media Facebook as a tool for searching for information. Also, another 9.3 percent chose YouTube social media.
