iPhone 16 Will Have a Vertical Camera, Similar to iPhone 12?

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – It is rumored that the iPhone 16 rear camera lens will have a vertical arrangement, similar to the iPhone 12. This information was revealed by the Twitter account @URedditor, which has leaked updates on Apple devices several times before.

“The iPhone 16 base model will have a vertical camera layout, not diagonally on the iPhone 15. This will make the device instantly recognizable as the newest model,” he tweeted as quoted Tekno Liputan6.comTuesday (23/5/2023).

For information, @URedditor or Unknownz21 themselves are leakster first to share alleged renders of the iPhone 15 Pro with USB-C port and various other details.

While it’s likely that this change only applies to the lower-end iPhone 16, the design could be extended to the iPhone 16 Plus.

Previously, Apple switched to a diagonal rear camera lens arrangement on the iPhone 13 and 13 mini. This design was immediately adopted by the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

However, it is estimated that the iPhone 15 will be the last model to use this design.

If these rumors are true, the iPhone 16 will return the vertical camera layout that was last used by the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. As well as making it easier to identify the latest models, the iPhone 16 will also incorporate other recent design aspects, such as Dynamic Island and a USB-C port.

Reported MacRummors, Tuesday (23/5/2023), it is not certain why Apple is planning this change. However, the company says the diagonal layout allows use of a sophisticated dual camera system.

As such, it’s thought that Apple has found a way to readjust the camera components to fit in the vertical orientation.

The iPhone 14 series launched four models, namely the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. There is no increase in terms of price starting from IDR 11.9 million.
