Launch of Elon Musk’s xAI Artificial Intelligence Company Triggers a Surge in AI-Themed Crypto

Earlier, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced the debut of a new artificial intelligence company xAI aimed at understanding the true nature of the universe.

Elon Musk seems to be positioning xAI to compete with companies OpenAI, Google and Anthropic which are behind the leading chatbots namely ChatGPT, Bard and Claude.

News of the startup was previously reported by the Financial Times in April, alongside reports that Elon Musk had secured thousands of GPU processors from Nvidia.

That same month, Elon Musk shared details of plans for a new AI tool called “TruthGPT” during a Fox News Channel interview. He worries that existing AI companies are prioritizing politically correct systems.

One of the advisors to the IA startup, Executive Director of the Center for AI Safety, Dan Hendrycks published a letter in May signed by the tech leader claiming “mitigating the risk of extinction of AI must be a global priority alongside other societal risks namely the COVID-19 pandemic and war. nuclear,”
