MDI Ventures Focuses on 3 Startups in the Health, Agriculture and Fintech Sectors

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Units venture capital from Telkom Indonesia, MDI Ventures, focuses on portfolio startups which has an impact on social, environmental and community (Environmental, Social and Governance ESG).

The three startup portfolios that the company supports include SwipeRx, Aruna, and Koinworks–with respective sector focuses in the fields of pharmaceutical/health, agriculture, and also fintech.

CEO of MDI Ventures, Donald Wihardja, said that the company focuses on creating businesses that have a positive impact on environmental and social transformation.

“MDI Ventures implements a thesis-driven strategy to ensure that our investment can appropriately target startups that not only generate capital gains, but also have a positive impact on environmental and social transformation for society,” said Donald in his statement, Tuesday (12/3/ 2023).

Startup SwipeRx which operates in the pharmaceutical industry appears as part of the MDI Ventures portfolio which has made significant strides in increasing access to health services, quality education and financial inclusion throughout Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia.

Through platforms Digitally, SwipeRx has impacted around 144 million patients.

The strategy that has been implemented involves pharmacies in community and sales activities as well as carrying out 12 public sector projects in 7 health sectors.
