Pellegrini Keeps Giallorossi's Chances of Getting to the Top 4

Jakarta. Beritasatu.com – A single goal scored by Lorenzo Pellegrini gave AS Roma victory over Sassuolo in the continuation of the Italian League or Serie A competition, Monday (18/3/2024) early morning WIB.

Playing as hosts at the Stadio Olimpico, Giallorossi, nicknamed Roma, continues to maintain a positive trend under new coach Daniele De Rossi who replaced Jose Mourinho on January 16 2024.

This 1-0 victory also meant that Roma maintained their chances of qualifying for the top four at the end of the season as well as advancing to the Champions League. Romelu Lukaku and his friends are now in fifth position with 51 points from 29 matches.

Playing as a midfielder on the left side, Lorenzo Pellegrini collaborated with Leandro Paredes and Bryan Cristante in Roma's midfield. He scored a goal against Sassuolo in the second half.

In the 50th minute, the 27 year old player found the net for the visitors after maximizing Paredes' pass. This was the Argentine player's third goal this season.

Sassuolo also suffered their 18th defeat this season in the Italian League. The team coached by Davide Ballardini is still not out of the relegation zone. They are still slumped in 19th position because they have only scored 23 points from 29 matches.

Sasuolo is two points away from the occupants of the last position in the safe zone, Empoli. They still have to fight hard if they want to survive relegation.
