Previously, Bitcoin has now become an active part of the United States (US) presidential election campaign. US Presidential candidate Donald Trump is taking a much different approach to Joe Biden regarding the crypto industry.

Bitcoin Magazine CEO and Donald Trump campaign cryptocurrency aide David Bailey recently announced that the billionaire will participate in future Bitcoin mining events.

Bailey called Trump's presence a Presidential Roundtable on Domestic Bitcoin Mining.

Bailey called the upcoming event historic, explaining that it will feature a meeting of titans of the Bitcoin mining industry with Trump. However, he did not reveal further which miners he meant.

However, Bailey did not reveal which companies or individual miners were interested in being part of the meeting.

“The mining industry has grown so much, they will make a good first impression,” Bailey wrote on the X platform.

Trump showed a change in attitude towards crypto regulation during a non-fungible token (NFT) event in May 2024, where he said that his campaign would accept cryptocurrency donations.

The move opens up a new potential source of funding for Trump's campaign, which still lags behind Biden in terms of funding even though they defeated the Democratic incumbent in April 2024.

The former US President also confirmed that he would take a very different approach from Joe Biden, in terms of supporting the crypto industry.

Bailey also said that Trump was even looking at the possibility of using Bitcoin to solve the US national debt problem worth USD 35 trillion.
