The series has a new comedy cartoon spin-off

Pokémon Horizons: The Series is a new anime that aims to revolutionize the genre by reimagining the basic Pokémon formula. Featuring new protagonists, new locations to explore, and all-new adventures, Pokémon Horizons promises to be a bold and daring departure from previous versions of the series.

On Monday, in Shogakukan’s August issue of Chao, it was revealed that Rikka Kise will be releasing a new manga, Pokemon Yorimichi Volteckers!!, based on the new anime, Pokémon Horizons: The Series. The next issue is “Pokémon Detour Bolt Tackler!!” on sale on August 3rd.

The series

Kahori Orido also revealed on her Twitter account that the final chapter of the manga “Pocket Monsters ~Riko’s Treasure~” was published in the same issue. The manga was released on May 2nd earlier this year.

Much is not revealed, but it can be speculated that the manga will focus on showing the funny side of the group members, as evidenced by the upcoming manga being a gag series.

About Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Pokémon Horizons: The Series is a new project in the Pokémon franchise, featuring an all-new story after the conclusion of the previous protagonist Satoshi’s journey. This anime will incorporate elements from the games Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

Rico from the Pardea region and Roy from the Kanto region join the Rising Bolt Tacklers led by Friede and Captain Pikachu. They are joined by Aura, Molly, Murdoch and Ludlow. Together they explore the world on an airship.

Along the way, they encounter a trio called the Explorers, whose members are Amethio, Jill, and Konia, and popular streamer Nidoshing.
