1. Phishing

Phishing fraud aims to obtain the victim's sensitive information, starting from login credentials, credit card details, or personal data by tricking the victim into a fake website.

In phishing fraud, victims are made to appear as if they are getting a message or notification which ultimately invites them to click on a dangerous link or fake page. Which, if clicked, will actually provide the confidential data to a third party.

To avoid this method, users need to verify the authenticity of the message and avoid clicking on the link as much as possible.

2. Fake Giveaways

Who doesn't like promises of prizes or giveaways from famous celebrities? But you also have to be careful.

To avoid being caught in this mode, users must be critical and skeptical of the various lures of prizes offered for free. Therefore, always make sure that the entity creating the giveaway is genuine before being tempted to take part.
