Budi Arie said that another job that has become his focus at Kominfo is overseeing content on social media.
“Platform control, starting from hoaxes, negative content, and so on,” said Budi.
According to him, platforms that are troubling the public need to be cleared up. One of the things he discussed was the need to monitor disturbing content.
He said, for broadcasting, there is a KPI that performs supervisory duties. But not so with social media.
“Even though now there are many forms of disturbing content, because technology is developing. Maybe in time there will be a need for supervisors such as cyber to oversee social media, including handling it,” said Budi Arie.
