Big 4 Ambitions, White Tigers Target to Win at Home

Kediri, Beritasatu.com – Persik Kediri is targeting victory against visiting team Rans Nusantara in the 27th week of the Liga 1 competition at Brawijaya Stadium, Friday (8/3/2024). With this victory, the squad nicknamed the White Tigers has the ambition to enter the top four of the League 1 standings.

“As a team, we are targeting to continue to maintain the top four standings and hope to get three points tomorrow,” said Persik Kediri coach Marcelo Rospide, during a press conference ahead of the match, Thursday (7/3/2024).

Marcelo said that winning this match was very important to increase the ranking in the League 1 competition standings. Even though it was considered quite difficult, he said that Rans also had the same desire to quickly avoid relegation.

According to Marcelo, the match against Rans is considered to be fierce, considering that the club nicknamed Sultan Andara has a fast style of play. Rans plays very quickly in transition.

“We have evaluated the last two matches, Persik conceded three goals from quick counter attacks. We hope that this mistake will not happen again,” he explained.

Persik Kediri player representative Dikri Yusron said that all the players were ready to face the visiting team Rans Nusantara. Armed with an evaluation of the previous match, he said he would try his best.

“The players are in good condition and tomorrow will be a test for focus and concentration to learn lessons from the previous match which had many mistakes,” he concluded.

Persik Kediri is currently in sixth place with 40 points, while the visiting team Rans is in thirteenth position with 33 points on the 2023/24 BRI Liga 1 standings.
